MTV is reporting...

Remy Ma, friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph has filed a $10 million civil lawsuit against her, according to Reuters. Remy Ma (real name: Reminisce Smith) is accused of shooting Barnes-Joseph in July after a dispute that took place on a street in New York.

Remy been in a lot of crap lately. From eating someone's box to being denied the right to leave the country but this... I swear I am a liberal to the heart but sometimes we have just too much freedom in this country. Didn't this chick steal like a dollar from Remy? I mean maybe Remy should counter sue for the hookup on stolen cable and the proper technique to get rid of roaches. Because we all know that ghetto chicks know how to rid an apartment of roaches.

YaYa @ the Harlem YMCA reading to the Kids.

We see it all the time, it's something about the female who wears a head wrap that just screams positive. Seems like she's in touch with her roots, they all seem to hold a natural beauty. Well 2 years ago this week I started my dread locks. It's been a hard and long process. Finding different ways to avoid the 50 plus dollars to get them done, The locks merging together to make one chicken foot dread. It's crazy, but I must say it's been truly liberating achieving the length and hang time of my hair.

Teddy Pen The Funk Down, just bought his own private G4 jet according to a recent interview with KING magazine. He dropped like 3 million on the jet which Seats 14, has a couch (hey so does most porns), a CD player with speakers under the seats and a color TV. This just reeks of the movie Soul Plane. Last night I went to the club, normally I would have prowled the dance floor and bar for someone to bring home but my celibacy and "Best" has it so thats not even an option. So instead I came home and watched Tela Tequila's reality show. All I could think of is why? What has this chick done other than sit on myspace and collect friends that would grant her a reality show? Now I can't be mad at her hustle but for real? Can someone please explain if it's supposed to be reality TV why is the formula for all of these shows the same?

I could actually listen to three of Ashi++ti's earlier songs, "Baby, Rain, and No One Else." I just couldn't buy a ticket for the "I like Ashanti" train. I present to you Ashanti's latest on King Magazine, you may have seen them. If you look closely I think she has a lazy eye! Ashi++i has a nice figure, but I'm just not impressed with the layout, are you? The whole, black I want to be fierce, but I only have one look with a lazing eye; isn't working for me. In 1997 Ohmega Watts began getting pieces of equipment and started to produce, then in '98 upgraded himself to his now trusty MPC 2000. He began learning about diggin' in the crates for breaks, and samples, and finding out who were some key musicians back in the Jazz, Rock, Soul and funk era's. From that point on to present day, Watts has been diggin in the crates and producing tracks for his unit Lightheaded members, and close family of cats he's come to build relationships with. When I heard this dudes "The Platypus Strut" I instantly wanted to go on Soul Train Circa 1978.

I love katz whose music take you back to a time when life was easier, simple and free! He hear a hint of Pete Rock, Hi-Tek and Tribe. I enjoys this dude tremendously! I felt like pop locking after I heard his music. Don't under estimate me a sista can pop!

Last Night the MTV Video Music Awards Trumped football for me b/c I knew I had to mention them on the blog today and I must say The Young Boy Chris Brown made it all worth it. (Pause) Breezy put on a show and tore the building down. He started off w/ a Charlie Chapman theme and from there the building crumbled. I remember one summers evening I had a long conversation w/ my homegirl Ms. Hurt. She said that Omarion was a better dancer and the next king of R&B and 20 minutes later I couldn't believe i had actually engaged in a debate over teeny bopper R&B stars. But I must show respect where Respect is due. And Chris Brown was the HIghlight of the show.

Did you catch the awards? What were you favorite moments? Too bad they didn't show the Kid Rock, Tommy Lee Fight. Men please stop fighting over pussy... It might save your life.

Last night I stayed up extra late watching "The Wiz" on HBO. I remember the rumors of them remaking the movie Starring Ashanti as Dorothy. But my mind started to wander, who would I cast if I was to remake this film. First to mind was T-Pain as the Tin-Man, since he wants to buy you a drank, who else to lug around that can of oil. T-Pain>Nipsey Russell they sort of look a like too don't they? On a summer's afternoon after taking my daughter to the mall, to play on the little indoor park, and buy her some new clothes for our summer long journey. I get out of the mall to my waiting 1 million degree car w/ no air condition. Luckily I don't live far from the mall so we didn't have that far to drive, plus she had burger king so she was still sipping her juice. We are driving slow enjoying the exquisite landscape of Georgia, when a bird decides that he wants to have target practice and I'm the target. From a quarter mile in the air he shot a piece of wet bird dookie pass some trees around the electrical wire, thru my car window right on my left shoulder.

Last night, in a drunken stupor I ended up watching the Negro Channel. First there was this extremely dry show called S.O.B. and then the Hot Ghetto Mess show none of which i had the chance to watch but I heard it and then it happened. I saw her. {Lynn} the new love of my life, her weird and awkward voice hypnotized me, her eyes told me a story and when she walked. My Heart jumped out of my chest, and started pumping pumping her life like image on my Flat screen TV w/ 1080i HD. I'm in love. I need someone to school me on this show before the new season starts in Oct. Please. This reminds me of high school, you know when 2 people are about to fight and you ease your way through the crowd that formed a circle around the 2 kids. Friday Night Lights shining bright in the sky line of the city. The view from my apartment was spectacular... if you could see it. So, the drive into town would have to do. Pulling up on 85 in Atlanta is the shit, a rush comes over you as you flick the butt of a Newport out of the window. We were on our way to a spot where young men and women go to get their first taste of the night life. I had been drinking on some patron, so I was already a little bit dizzy but not pissy as i was on numerous occasions where I drank too much and never made it to the door. So it’s official. The world is coming to an end. I mean I Ain’t Hatin…I’m Just Sayin, how the hell does Crunk make it into the dictionary???

So the associate editor says "We try to include words that aren't just trends," he continued. "We're looking for words that will be referred to in the future and people won't need any explanation to know what it means. If the editor of a newspaper can publish a word and he or she expects readers to know what it means, we'll include it."

Okay maybe it’s just me but um…I still don’t know what Crunk means!! They say its southern rap music with repetitive chants and rapid dance rhythms but every time I hear it being used it’s like “Man we about to get Crunk”. Translation – “Man we about to get hype”. I thought Crunk meant like hype or live. Now they are saying it’s a form of music??? I’m confused as hell.

I guess this just shows the popularity of Black culture. From our music, style of dress, and now our vocabulary we are all over the place. But with Crunk making it into the dictionary it got me thinking.

Are there any other slang terms that you use that you feel should make it into the dictionary???

Rumor has it, that the pit bull in a skirt E.V.E. Ms. My Dogs Believe in me ordered a female prostitute to come to her room in a Miami hotel. Let's take a vote who does he look like more? Nah seriously, Ne-Yo has a song called Do You and I can honestly say that from time to time thoughts of my ex run through my mind. Luckily I have a great relationship with most of my ex girlfriends so I'm good I know they think of me. One day my ex called me and told me she was getting married. In the 6 years since his last movie what has Chris Tucker been up to? It's funny get into some trouble and the whole world will know about it, do something positive it might not ever be heard. In the 6 years off he has been making himself a better man, and I'm not mad at him. I too had to go away to make myself better so when I read the article about him in playboy magazine, it was something i could truly relate to. There is an age old debate, that you shouldn't let money change you but I beg to differ. When I got a little bit of money it changed my wardrobe, my address and the type of things i could buy, it also changed a bit of me on the inside.

Karrine "Superhead" Stephans is about to drop her 2nd book entitled "The Vixen Diaries". Let's rewind the clock to when she dropped her last book, this board was on everywhere telling people how she was abused and taking advantage of and how she cleaned up her life and was trying to make a better life for her son, even leaving the one radio station crying. Ok so I was on Popjunkie when browsing the pictures and well I had a revelation....
Donda West mother of Kaneezie looks like Jabba The Hut! Now a lot of his actions make perfect sense to me.

But I can't be too mad at Mr. West. He does what he wants, wears what he wants and doesn't care if he makes up words every now and then. I'm a firm believer that people have a list of things they want to accomplish in their life, I'm sure Kaneezie is well on his way to achieving those goals. So far he was worn an open chest to the Grammy's threw a tantrum or 2 at almost every awards show in the world and called Bush a racist on live television. I have my own list of things to do some of them have been accomplished and some haven't but my list looks like this.

When does the lying stop? The Heiress of America is out of jail and she went on Larry King live last week probably thinking let me give the first interview to a respected journalist that way I look intelligent and they won't say too many bad things about me..
