I mean we let out kids watch shows on the weekend and after their home work is done so this being a mainstream media wonder story will be everywhere and now you have to explain this to your child. It's not that the kid won't be taken care of but it's super irresponsible.

Ummmm...I do remember being disgusted with Solange being pregnant. Whether or not she was older, she was still too damn young and the guy was too damn old. And the whole marriage was just a front to make it seem like that was the plan all along. And if I remember correctly...Solange's pregnancy had to be kept under wraps because she was in that Johnson Family Vacation movie.

What is most disgraceful about this Spears girl is that her and her mother literally pimped the story to the press - like it was just another piece of celebrity gossip. Her mother should be ashamed for exploiting her "16 year old baby" that way. So many other issues are being considered like money and status, that the underlying issue is being overlooked.

when solange got pregnant she was in a movie, had a cd out and was on nick like she was the next beyonce. So honestly I see no difference and solange was what a year older then what jamie lynn is...Come on. I am not surprised at the pregnancy...and I'm not surprised that the show will stay on the air. Look at the chick that was in the High School Musical that posed nude or whatever. They kept her and the show went on. Now this may sound cliche, but it couldn't have been somebody with a permanent tan. Nick/Disney would have booted that a*% right off the show the same day and would have cancelled the show with a public announcement. The media would have had a field day with this news. A black girl would have received absolutely no justice. But that's what the entertainment world gets for making these backwood sluts look like they are more than what they truly are. I've always said that Shitney was an overated Janet Jackson wannabe....now even her baby sister is a statistic. I'm sure their slush of a mother is proud. Go figure!

Xilla, I agree with you, my daughter watches Zoey 101 and what does this tell my 11 year old. That it's OK to have sex at a young age, not practice safe sex (no condoms)and it is so easy to just have a baby. Maybe if your rich! She does have a reputation to uphold but at the same time it is her choice.

I am with the consensus that it is irresponsible that Jamie Lynn is still on television after her poor poor decision. I could easy expect this from a network such as ABC, FOX, or HBO. Anyway her character also died in the show before her actual death for her gang mentality. Nick is a child program. Do we really want our young children 16 and below to think it's ok to have premarital sex with out thinking of HIV, AIDS, or any other form of STD. Because is has already happened in society.
