Black On Black Crime - House Negro v. Field Negro

The government secretly declared war on the poor. There is a new KKK which is getting stronger every second. From Jena Six, Megan Williams, Malik Thomas, Imus and the Rutgers far from feminine basketball squad, it's clear that race in America is an issue that needs to be addressed. Despite all of this, blacks still fail to see the need to come together as a strong unit to make a difference in what really matters in the Post 9/11 world. Two stories in the news made this clear to me. You might think its It's a story of a gang shooting but it's not, I grew up to that and those type of things don't surprise me. What does is what Civil Rights Activist Andrew Young Told Reporters about Barack Obama.
The House Negro Speaks
In a media interview posted online, Young quipped that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has her husband behind her, and that "Bill is every bit as black as Barack." Adding "He's probably gone with more black women than Barack," WTF he must think that black people vote based on color and sex, that we as intelligent beings see color and vote for black. Now I admit that some of us might do this, that's a given so that really didn't bother me as much as the following. Young also stated "It's not a matter of being inexperienced. It's a matter of being young," Young said. "There's a certain level of maturity ... you've got to learn to take a certain amount of SHIT." "There are more black people that Bill and Hillary lean on," Young said. "You cannot be president alone. ... To put a brother in there by himself is to set him up for crucifixion. His time will come and the world will be ready for a visionary leadership."
In my far from humble opinion I think this just shows the disconnect of the black race. Instead of supporting the brother you bash him, instead of reinforcing a weakness you attack it. I find that blacks do this to each other a lot. Try to start something with the people you know and 80% of them will tell you a million ways why you're going to fail. instead of offering ideas to prevent failures they pick at them like a sore.
Here in Charlotte a black man was named Head Mecklenburg County Sheriff and this racist state called North Carolina damn near had a hissy fit. But as one of my co-workers told me months before is that The Man here uses black people to do their dirty work for them. I thought she was crazy I couldn't imagine how a black man could do the dirty work to destroy his own people but I was mistaken. Pat Cannon a black Radio personality said "I think what's been suggested is that black people have played the race card because it's someone black,” said Cannon. "We as a community have to come together and stop using what's so easy to use as it relates to race. It's easy to play the race card when it relates to any situation where you don't get what you want. We have to be beyond that."
So they put a black man in power b/c he's black... But this happens all the time the other way around. How many white people have been placed in positions of power based solely on the color of their skin. Not because their the best for the job but rather b/c he's the best friend of the person who makes the decision. I think that in todays age we as a race need to come together and stop these little spats that do nothing but show we are not working as a unit. We are too busy fighting each other that we fail to realize that this is the work of the Willie Lynch Ideology hard at work.

xilla your 100% right in the black community there needs to be more unity!!! did you hear about how people on Oprah's website bashed her for endorsing Barack?? they said she did it because he is black... I almost fell over when I heard that on the news... In this day and age(shakes head)... In her opinion and that just what it is an opinion her viewpoint that he is the best leader for this country....His color isn't a factor for her....She has had the Clinton's on her show a few times as well.... Me personally I haven't decided who I want Barack or Hillary hell I want to switch parties from democrat to independent but its to late in NYC to do so.... I love the Clinton's I have read Hillary's book and some of Bill's as well...And I like Barack Obama....but when the time comes I am voting for who can do the best job for this country regardless of skin color....And I have a theory... Barack and Hillary on the '08 ticket I havent decided which one for president or vice president but they would be a force to be reckoned with... Just my thoughts!!!!

Xilla I don't think that you could have picked a better title for this post. Race relations relative to black people in this country date back to the life and times of House & Field Negros. It manifested there and continues to be the classic prototype of "Divide & Conquer". It resonates deep within our history and culture and I don't think that we've ever been able to fully recover and reconnect as a people.
Self-righteous "activists" like Andrew Young only validate that "house negros" never were able to shake that twisted love for their masters...similar to "Stockholm Syndrome". We all know that if the situation were reversed and Clinton happened to be black, a white person would never speak publicly and support him while bashing another white contender. The sad thing is that over the years other races have come to depend on us to do just that.(You're friend was right)

I agree with you so much. This is something that needs to be drilled in the minds of the people my age and younger

I agree.
Its said but our community is more divided than ANY other race.
It really does suck to know that tragedies dont even pull us together.

Xilla, you are 100% correct. Instead of supporting one another, we find any and every thing to talk about. It is very sad.

dope post but i have to point out two things:
1. both Obama and Young are house negroes. as much as we liked to think that Obama isn't, he is. He works in the senate, the house, so to speak.
2. however, it was the house negro that helped set up the massa for the slave revolt. Nat Turner was a house negro. Gabriel Prosser and Denmark Vessey, both house negroes. Frederick Douglass was a house negro, too. All of them worked in the house alongside their massas. No one calls them sellouts. cause of course, they aren't.
3. when have we ever been united. I appreciate the fact that our community is not as monolithic as most people think. We will disagree politically, religiously, etc. I think that's cool. I will say that, its wack that we like to dish our family dirt out with white people. that is something we need to stop doing. if Young has an issue with Obama, talk to him in a back room somewhere, don't go on CNN and tell everyone. we are fam. i don't tell you about my beef with my uncle. I handle it with my uncle.

Thanks Omi, I saw you were online so i dropped a bulletin. I feel what you are saying. And I was thinking the same thing about Obama. But Obama sees things the way the common man does. From hearing him speak live, from all that i read of him he seems to sort of understand the regular person more than most politicians which is why I like him. He seems down to earth that what he is saying is more than just talk more than an agenda for his campaign.
Thanks for you words.

XILLA, WHAT A COINCIDENCE YOU WROTE THIS TOPIC ON THE BILL OF RIGHTS 206th BIRTHDAY. I WANT TO AGREE WITH YOU, BUT I'M ALSO A BIT PERPLEXED ON THIS SENSATIVE TOPIC. YES, THERE'S NOT A DOUBT THE WORDS SPOKEN BY MR. YOUNG'S MOUTH WERE TRUE FORMS OF IDIOCY AND VERY OFFENSIVE TO HILLARY AND OHBAMA. FROM MY STAND POINT, BOTH HILLARY AND OBOMA CAN CLOSELY RELATE TO PEOPLE. THEY HAVE LIVED THE LIFE WITH STRUGGLES AND THEY STILL DEAL WITH DISCRIMINATION. ASK YOURSELF, “WOULD THIS MAKE EITHER OF THEM A GOOD PRESIDENT? MAYBE, FOR MINORITIES.” NOW ASK YOURSELF AGAIN, “WILL EITHER BECOME PRESIDENT?” ANSWER: NOT IN AMERICA, NOT ON THIS LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE. SINCE COLUMBIS (OR SO THEY SAY) FOUND AMERICA UNTIL THIS DAY CAUCASINS WILL NEVER- AND I SAY NEVER OVER AND OVER AGAIN - EVER LET AN AFRICAN DECENDENT OR WOMEN DICTATE HOW THIS COUNTRY IS GOVERNED (THIS IS THEIR MONEY MAKER) BOTH HILIARY OR OHBOMA COULD WIN BY A LANDSIDE BUT WE LEARNED FROM BUSH’S RE-ELECTION. DEEP DOWN INSIDE WE ALL KNOW THESE ELECTIONS ARE FIXED. THIS BRINGS ME BACK TO THE BILL OF RIGHTS. THERE’S THIS GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE THEY KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR THIS COUNTRY, INSTEAD OF THOSE WHO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE, PAYING TAXES UPON TAXES. THIS MAKES ME WONDER DOES MY VOTE COUNT AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BILL OF RIGHTS THAT WAS SET FORTH TO PROTECT CITIZENS FROM GOVERNMENT

yo....
this is what i like to see and read....with that being said....there was a certain level of truth to what Mr. Young said...there is a certain level of inexperience that Barak possesses that Hillary doesnt. But that doesnt mean that it needs to be said in a mass media setting. Its okay to think and perhaps even express these thoughts when it is in a controlled setting, the problem becomes when Black talk to the media and degrade one another. We need to learn that there are private discussions and public discussions. Its just your momma always told you...everyone does not need to know what goes on inside your house. It amazes me that we get this diarrhea of the mouth when we are standing in front of a camera or faced with a recorder....thats what makes me furious....there is a time and place for these discussions and they are not in the media....ever....
