M-Fer I Want Some Iced Tea
As of this week I am a year older and I feel wonderful, I've come to understand things a lot more. I am a father and being a father comes before any and everything in my life. My daughters are my world. In a few months I will be going back to school, and beginning to right a few wrongs I made along the journey to adulthood. Like leaving school and not pursuing my dream to be a musician. But nonetheless I had a ball this weekend.
Friday I left work to the sweetest feeling in the world, in the arms of the one I love. I got home to some bad news my daughter was bad in school so I would have to put a hold on my celebration to discipline my child. But the highlight of my weekend was a conversation I had in my living room w/ Dana & Mel about the comments above from "Bill Oh Really!?!"
Dude was amazed that a Black restaurant is just like a white restaurant... Also he made some comments about the black family lacking fathers. Now although I don't live w/ my child I am very much involved in her life. And like I said my child comes before everything. Even SEX, and as in this weekend I had to leave my friends behind to be a father... It wasn't hard, It wasn't a burden it was my duty to make sure my daughter doesn't end up on a pole. So Next Monday, Ish, Taymah and myself will be holding a town meeting to discuss Race, family and life as it relates to the different races. I'm looking for panel members to discuss taking part on the show. We can discuss these topics and more in the comment section of the blog.
