New York Hip Hop Strikes Again • 10.20.08
A few weeks ago I went to a showcase of Atlanta’s best underground talent, and to see my homies Sean Faylon and Brittany Bosco. While waiting for my home girl Brittany to go on stage I bumped into R&B star Lloyd and we had a quick conversation. He asked me “Why don’t up north rappers stick together?” I thought about it and the only thing I could come up with was that after Biggie died, everyone wanted to be the king of NY. Lloyd pointed out how there is a lot of love in the south and talked about how everyone sticks together down here. I ended our conversation because I know he wasn’t there to end up on a blog.
Fast forward to today and during a Ace Hood video shoot violent broke out,when NY rapper Jim Jones and his crew allegedly jumped on an unidentified man.
