When Obama’s journey to the presidency first began, you couldn’t tell Black people anything. All I heard was he isn’t Black enough, or America isn’t ready for a Black president. Yet, after a long and hard fought battle we are only a short time away from watching the nation swear in it’s first African-American president. It’s a beautiful thing, it truly is. Not everyone can’t make it to DC to be there for the inauguration, but if you’re in the NY area you can still be apart of history on Jan 20th and have your picture taken with the President. Well sort of according to
Madame Tussauds website:
Stand face-to-face and have your historical photo taken with President Barack Obama. A former United States Senator from Illinois and civil rights attorney; January 20, 2009 he will become the nation’s first African American to be a elected President of the United States. Join us as we celebrate history in the making and launch a historical president set in a replica of the Oval Office!
I think I might have to hit this up on Monday.
