I’ve tried to get into Electrik Reds’ music. They are mediocre at best, nothing special vocally, just seems like a buncha pretty chicks. *yawn*
I’m liking the direction Eminem is taking his songs, although they are relatively dark, they are honest, and smart, classic Eminem.
The Ne-Yo song? *yawn*
This Lupe song may be a bit harder then you are used to from Lupe, I don’t know how I feel about it yet, maybe it’s a song I need to be in the mood to listen to.

Here’s a whole buncha new R&B for all you fellow R&B fiends. Looks like it’s raining 2005 outside, Amerie, Ginuwine, Mario? Oh yeah, comeback season (no Drake) forreal.
I’m feeling this Ginuwine though, has that 90’s feel, which could be a bad thing and a good thing at the same time. “One Night Stand” reminds me of those songs from the 90’s that made it sexy and glamorous to do something skanky and even grimey. Like a one night stand? He made it seem hot and okay (not to say it isn’t but you know how society frowns upon a little ‘layover’) It reminded me of “This Luv” by Donnel Jones, made it seem like it was ok to cheat on your man, hell it was downright sexy! I like this music, and if Ginuwine is going to bring it back, I’m on board.

When I asked yall who yall thought was really holding their own, I would hope Melanie Fiona’s name would come to mind. Her music is great! Her vocal talent surpasses so many ladies out there and I hope that she gets the shine she deserves soon. “Sad Song” is a one of those songs I liked the moment it came on (and that doesn’t happen too often) I can’t wait to see the places Melanie Fiona goes in the near future.

Who else is tired of MEDIOCRE R&B?!
I’m just sick of this mess already, are we, as R&B fans supposed to just sit around and accept that this is what R&B has come to? Boring hooks, monotonous beats, predictable lyrics and rushed production? I’m not saying every R&B artist out right now is putting out that kind of music, but a vast majority is, and these rappers that hop on R&B tracks and offer the same 8-16 bars is yet another problem. These kind of tracks don’t even compare to some of the worst R&B tracks of the 90’s!
I want to know if you can listen to that track by Johnta Austin and say if you’d honestly listen to it again on purpose.
