I’ve met a lot of women, and while most of them were probably sexual intellectuals, I would say only 35% of the women are ladies? Let’s face it, a lot of women don’t know how to be a ladies. So in order to help out with this dilemma. I am posting some advice from Michelle Obama and I’m 100% sure that if females follow her example, a woman’s ladyhood would increase by 70%. Enjoy.

Mentoring matters, especially for young women: “I think that mentoring is such a critical part of the role I can play in this position. I see how little bits of exposure and big bits of exposure really change my girls significantly, and I want that for more girls around the country and the world.”

The real role models aren’t movie stars–they’re the people you know: “They were the people in my life. My mom, for sure. My dad. The teachers. For me, role-modeling was immediate, it was touchable…Children connect with who is in their lives, present and accounted for…That’s why we’re trying to encourage moms, teachers, fathers, to be that presence in their children’s lives, in their communities, because it really makes a difference.”

Don’t wait to be “discovered” by a mentor: “I was blessed throughout my entire career. I had people rooting for me. It started with my parents, but it extended to almost every teacher that I had. When I was a young lawyer, there were other women and men in the firm who took me under their wing. Look for those mentors, because sometimes mentors don’t find you–sometimes you seek them out. Oftentimes, they’re flattered and glad to lend a hand.”

Don’t put yourself last in line: In answer to a reader question about how she keeps her sanity, the First Lady told Katie, “I have always tried to put my kids first, and then…put myself a really close second, as opposed to fifth or seventh. One thing that I’ve learned from male role models is that they don’t hesitate to invest in themselves.”

When it comes to looks and style, set your own standards: “People are always going to have opinions, and people have a right to their opinions, particularly when you’re the First Lady; you’re representing the nation. So I can’t be surprised that people are interested. But I’ve tried to be at peace with the choices that I make first, and then be open to everyone else’s reflection.”

With men, don’t be swayed by “cute”: “Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, Who are you as a person? Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul…When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good…You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

The First Lady’s entire interview appears in Glamour’s December issue which hits new stands next week.

Today is Barack Obama’s 100th day in office and the one thing these last hundred days have shown me, if not the world, is that 2 Black people can love each other. The Obama’s have changed the face of America. It has shown me a glimpse into what a family can be. My home girl and I recently had a discussion of Barack Obama’s importance. She even went as far to say that sometimes she wish he didn’t get elected.

I explained to her that The Obama’s provide hope for those who need it. I won’t go into conspiracy theories, so let’s just say we have a lot of distractions. Jolie’s new foreign baby, Rihanna’s new man, Ray-J’s new jumpoff and fears your bank might close shop and move to Finland. Over these last 100 days we have seen, campaign promises kept, broken and amended. Yet the most important thing these last 100 days have shown is this. It has shown the little kid from the ghetto who is growing up in a single parent home, that real love does exist.

It has giving the dad who is trying to be there for his kids from a far, because he doesn’t get along with his children’s mother. That his kids deserve the same things Obama’s kids have and that she should work even harder for his kids to achieve these thing. It shows us that with love all things are possible. Here is a glimpse at some of the most loving and telling moments from these last 100 days.

As the first couple danced they panned the room and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was simply beautiful. I only wish she would let me love her like Barack Obama loves Michelle Obama. Obama’s Remarks at the Neighboorhood ball

“This campaign was organized neighborhood by neighborhood,” said Obama, calling himself a neighborhood kind of guy – at a ball in the Washington Convention Center where tickets were dispensed for little cost to a lot of people. He cut his teeth on neighborhood work, he told the crowd.

“And if you think about it, neighborhood starts with neighbor,” Obama said. “This ball is the one which captures best, I think, the spirit of this campaign… We are going to need you… because together we are going to change America.” Source

Neck twirls, finger snaps, cuss words, rolling eyes and ripped out tracks of yaki weave on the ground are all sign that an angry black woman is in the area. The media portrays black women in the worst light. A quick glance at the evening news and your guaranteed to see at least one toothless dark skinned woman within the first 10 minutes.

I used to think that these images of black women on the news were due to all the sane black women with teeth actually having jobs and not being able to witness crime at 2 in the afternoon. However I am sadly mistaken. These days if you’re not buying a woman a drink, or being told that she can buy her own damn drink then 9 times out of ten you’re going to get some neck twirls, finger snaps, cuss words, and a SMCH [official definition - the act of sucking ones teeth in utter disgust.]

Sadly, the reality of today is that these women are still pissed Raheem

left her angry ass for Becky

used her for a pair of Jordan’s, a ride to probation, a Lil Wayne CD & 3 Quickies

never pays her any attention, but drools at her best friends enormous boobs

is more in love with No Job Having Quisha and her 4 kids than her and her ivy league education

Some of those reasons may not apply to certain black women, another woman might simply be pissed off that she whored her self out for 24 years and all she has to show for it are 2 cured std’s, a stretched out coochie and a neat trick she can do with her tongue.

Now surely in no way do I believe all black women are angry b–ches and we’ll all be kidding ourselves if we try to pretend that there aren’t a few angry black b–ches out there, messing it up for all the real black queens. I believe Whoopi Goldberg said it best yesterday when she said the following to Michelle Obama on The View

“I’m really glad to see you because …any time you see black folks on the news, particularly women, they have no teeth, and the teeth that they have have gold around them and they can’t put a sentence together and perhaps now, we can, this is, you are helping to change a perception. I know it sounds funny and silly but If you are a black women and you are tuning in and everytime you see someone who is supposed to represent black women and women not very very fair skin women, I am talking about dark black women, I just want to say thanks.”
