Mika Means held her birthday party last week @ Pure and man! It was so wild that it took me a few days to recover just to be able to write the blog! The party was nice, a lot of fine ladies and surprise performances. Mika performed her new song “Spend Yo Money” much to the delight of the women in the crowd who got in for free and got drunk for free. Lloyd came on stage and sang a song for his new label mate Mika Means.
Then J. Holiday came out and blessed the crowd with his song BED. I never in my life seen an R&B singer rock a crowd with a newport cigarette in his hand but he managed to do it.

In a recent interview with my home girl Martine for All That’s Fab, Lloyd explained how his new album Lessons In Love is like falling in love for the first time.
“I am growing with my fans who are now in college. This is where you experience love for the first time. So I’m kind of conscious of that– I’m kind of in the love convention. Young lovers that want to express what they feel, what they go through, you know mistakes and heartache, as well as happiness and joy. Lessons in love is not so much about me, it’s more so about them, it’s more about my fans and what can happen in life along the way.”
If you’re just discovering love then you might not know that relationships have stages. During those stages the person you love is going to change and if you don’t notice and identify those changes your relationship will be over before it ever got started.
Just Met Stage - When you just meet you are always thinking about this person, and you’re conscious of how they may react to what you may do. It’s bliss because you’re both on your best behavior during this stage.
Share Stage – This is when you always want to be around the person. You are discovering things and you like it a lot. You’re so intrigued that you’re asking questions and getting them to open up to you, and you’re opening up as well. The two of you are sharing yourself with each other.
Know Stage – This is where you know this person very well, you can finish their thoughts for them, tell which stroke they are going to use, and what position they’ll want after or before doggy style. This is the point where things start to get boring if you’re not careful.
You have to identify the stages of your relationship because you can be working effortless trying to give your lover something they no longer need or desire. Think about it, what did you want from a lover 5 years ago? Hell if you think 5 months ago it might differ from now. So pay attention and keep trying to discover something new about the person you love it may plant a seed of longevity in your love life.
