LIL WAYNE COVERS ROLLING STONE is a big thing, but is Lil Wayne the best? His lyrics are witty and solid, you really can’t deny that, but is Wayne so good that he can just stop rapping? In RS he says
“I just got — I’m not going to say ’so good’ at what I was doing, but it became such a regularity for me that I got tired of it. And then I said, ‘You know what? I’m not going to rap on this one.’ “
I like Lil Wayne’s music as much as the next man, but to stop rapping? I mean it’s a risk and I’m going to ride for the kid, but really?
“I don’t want to be the best rapper in the world. Not now,” he says. “I want to be the best. Period. Now. My favorite rapper hasn’t done what I’m doing.”
Well he does have a point there. One thing is clear Lil Wayne really is a martian! Do you think Lil Wayne is the best rapper?

Lil Wayne is interesting, we marvel at his lyricism, concerned about his drug habits and we question his sanity during interviews when he says stuff like:
