Y’all remember Drake’s now infamous Blackberry freestyle on Funk Flex’s show on Hot 97 right? Well Affion Crockett of Nick Cannon’s ‘Wild N’ Out’ fame spoofs the Degrassi star in his latest video (spotted @ Nahright) Ohhh the hilariousness that is this video. You really can’t appreciate the humor of the video unless you’ve watched the original…. He killed me with the eye brows … good lord!

ABC News, and the LA Times have both cosigned Drake this week, and all I can say is wow. Check out Drake’s write up in the LA Times.

Less than a year ago, Drake was basically a zero in the music world, unsigned and virtually unknown as a rhyme-sayer. But thanks to some out-of-the-box branding efforts by several of the best-connected marketing executives in the urban world and the institutional backing of his mentor, rap superstar Lil Wayne, Drake landed two songs in the Top 10 this month — “Best I Ever Had” as a solo artist and “Every Girl” as part of the rap group Young Money. He had already amassed a devoted fan base before he’d even landed a record deal.

Every Song of Summer has a saga behind it. And Drake’s breakthrough arrives as a happy accident built on plenty of high-level networking, a label bidding war and an astonishing degree of cooperation among rap world big shots. Chief among them, Drake’s career overseers: the heads of the New York management firm Hip Hop Since 1978 and Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s longtime manager.

“They have given me one of the greatest situations in hip-hop,” Drake, 22, said of his team.

After the jump you will find Drake’s BET Awards ‘09 performing while on a stool.  He tore his ACL but showed up to fill his slot regardless (insert ‘Wheelchair Jimmy’ jokes here).  I did hear that his sound check was less then stellar and BET made Drake do the soundcheck twice! Whatever the case may be, the performance turned out ok. I think Drake is used to commanding attention with a handicap. (Degrassi)

So if you’ve been a Drake fan for the past couple years at least you’ve heard this song, considering it’s off The Comeback Season mixtape. Drake got down with some on North Carolina’s finest and made a dope track, only reason this has resurfaced is because Elzhi laces it with a verse.

It seems Mr. ‘Heartbreak Drake’ is breaking hearts for different reasons…. In a forum one chick spills the beans on Drizzy, apparently he is far from the best she ever had. Women have really taken a cue from Superhead and break the code of silence when it comes to their dealings with rappers\singer\athlete\actors. I suppose women are kissing and telling more these days when they leave a situation unsatisfied for one reason or another.
