The crew got together for the Forever video and while it’s a regular video nothing really special the idea that Em and Slaughterhouse and standing side by side gives me hope that real hip hop will one day come to the for front and take over the world. More Than A Game is dropping soon you can check out the stream to the soundtrack over at Eskay’s house.
Lil Wayne x Drake jumped on a track and wow!! This is officially my 2nd favorite song out right now. My Darlin Baby. It hits so close to home. Specially when Drake rhymes “We only use a rubber every other time” That line reminds me of the times I was in a relationship. Over a soulful sample Weezy spits “Her clothes aren’t tight, nigga they are cozy, and when she turns around they say Whoa! like Joey!” Awesomeness!
Drake doesn’t want you to be scared of him. Seriously I love this song. It’s a very mellow joint, something you can coast to. Over a smooth beat he confesses “I never cried when Pac died, but I probably will when Hov does” that was probably one of the hardest lines in the song. Maybe because I feel the same way, but this is proof you don’t have to be a hardcore rapper to be successful in this game. I always said why not cater to the avg person. I mean how many people actually sell drugs and shoot people?
“Every girl I meet think I’m f*cking groupie h*es, the honestly in my blogs have left me too exposed”
Drake tapped the new king of RnB, Trey Songz for his next single and even asked him to lay down a new verse for his latest video Successful. I’m sure the ladies will like this one better than Best I Ever Had. Be sure to pick up Ready In Stores Now.
The last 3 songs I’ve heard from Breezy have all sounded like Rihanna apologies. Which brings me to this. Just because you do something doesn’t mean you don’t regret it, or wish you didn’t do it. Give the man a break. And just because I might clown Chris on occasion, doesn’t mean I don’t fully support his come back, his career or him in general. Check out his new joint, Hallow.
In a recent interview Drake opens up about everything from being in the booth with Wayne to being on stage w/ a pink sweater while Hov killed Auto Tune at Summer Jam. ” I’m like, “Man, I’m wearing Air Yeezy’s and like a pink sweater and s— and these n—-s got on all black and are about to perform the Death of Auto-tune (’D.O.A.’). That was a pretty funny moment.” pop the hood for (more…)
Kanye and Drake released the director’s cut of Best I Ever Had. From the commentary on Nah Right I think it’s just more stretching in this version and more boobs. Anyway check out what Nation had to say about the video.
If people are still confused over this video, they shouldn’t be. It’s just because they were expecting the typical rap video from these guys because this song just organically took off on its own. If you think they made a mistake with this video it might be simply because you made the mistake of thinking that just because the song was doing good on the radio that they’d settle for the same destiny everyone else would when they meet with success. This video just proves that they still don’t, or never did, intend on going that route, even though it’s nice, and that it’s always been about something else. That “Best I Ever Had” being on the charts wasn’t necessarily the end goal, but just a nice surprise.
Hey I’m not mad, one thing you can’t say is that this video is like anything you ever seen before. Its sort of Michael
Jackson-esque, like a mini movie. BUUUUTTTT DRRRAAAKKKEEEE!! LMAO
