“A man would prefer to come home to an unmade bed and a happy woman than to a neatly made bed and an angry woman.” Marlene Dietrich. One thing I have learned from my ex’s is not to battle an angry woman. I would try my hardest to get a woman to not be mad at me, but it never works. Fighting with an angry woman is like trying to wrestle a lion with an alligator attached your left leg. What I have learned though are a few methods to help a woman calm down from being angry.

Shut Up: As men we are always trying to come up with “facts” to help a woman understand, and by doing that we end up in deep doo doo. We will say something that will out us, or make it clear that we lied about something else. So the best thing to do if your woman is mad at you is to be quiet and don’t offer up anything she has not asked you.

Come Clean: I do not know why men insist on arguing when they know they are wrong. Perfect example, I was watching Maury, and this guy was on tape backstage kissing on the decoy, yet he still refused to admit that he did cheat on his girl. A woman can tell when a guy is lying and there is nothing they hate more than being lied to. At the end of the day, women are just like men, the quicker you tell the truth, the quicker she will get over it.

Jasmine Guy told Essence “I think our younger women have lost the ability to embrace their womanhood. There’s so much we try to do that’s against our nature, and it’s made us hard, cold, bitter and fearful.” The writer of the article said it was a great point to which “Whitley” added:

Jasmine Guy told Essence “I think our younger women have lost the ability to embrace their womanhood. There’s so much we try to do that’s against our nature, and it’s made us hard, cold, bitter and fearful.” The writer of the article said it was a great point to which “Whitley” added:

“…a lot of us are without partners, so we have to do double duty. We develop another part of ourselves to compensate for that. We haven’t been taught that those things that are innate in us-being maternal or being soft or being vulnerable-are good things. We’re taught to be strong and in that strength comes a certain dismissal of what we’re really feeling inside.”

I’m not sure where I stand on this one, on one hand I believe that women should be strong. Strong enough to support her man if needed. Yet she should still be a woman who is able to do things that are generally associated with being a woman, like cooking, cleaning, and all the things Donna Reed did.

At the same time a woman has to be strong because some men have never received home training. I can understand how a woman would develop a hard exterior shell with the way men, lie, cheat and break hearts all for the chance to stick themselves in a woman. A good looking woman can’t walk 20 steps without a man trying to bang them. I guess this is a yet another no win situation for the woman.
