Kanye West Fader Cover + Real Life

Kanye West covers Fader mag this month, but that’s not the important part. What is, is that he allows us inside of his mind. He allows all of us to peek at thoughts, his feelings and his emotions and isn’t that why he’s one of our favorites? In a recent interview he asked “When does real life start.” Think about that while you read his quote about losing his mother.

“I’m just going through balancing that. And I always used to have that support system, you know. My mom would be there; no matter what, she was there before everything,” he said. “We were together for like 30 years. And you know now when I’m on that stage and I look out and I say, ‘What am I going to do with the rest of my life?’ Like when does a real life start?’ Because I have sacrificed real life to be a celebrity and to give this art to people, which is great. It is great that I was able to do that, I’m not trying to shun that in any way, but it’s definitely a Catch-22 and it’s bittersweet.”

  1. he brought this loneliness on to himself, he dropped his fiancĂ©, because he loved the single life too much and now he is desperate for a female that will give him a shoulder to cry on, he fell for the 80/20 rule (think “Why Did I get Married”)…he really reminds me of a fratboy from college sometimes..

I love Kanye despite the ego he puts on really I think its all a facade and he's probably really insecure and for the person who says that his loneliness is brought on by the breakup you have no idea how their relationship really was they had been together so long and maybe it just fell apart like most relationships do when you're not with the person you're supposed to be with. He lost his mom and probably made him really want to push everyone away but in doing so he may have realized she's not the one. Regardless Kanye is deep in a way and I wish him the best.

  3. I love Kanye… (I'm like a comment stalker today) but anyway… I don't really care about what celebrities do in their personal life as long as it isn't illegal or molesting children.. and I have always LOVED Kanye.. he is a musical genius and I appreciate what he does for the music world… I felt so bad for him when he lost his Mom… very sad because I did feel that she was what kept him semi-grounded.. But i never judged his music by what people say was “arrogance” because his music always was on point.

I agree with chick. I have always told people that I thought that Ye was insecure and that is why he acted like that. I love that he bears his soul. I just feel so bad for him losing someone so close to him like that
