I’ve been dealing with a lot of haters lately. One who even copy and pasted my blogs and put them forth as his own. I called him up so quick. I can only say it must be the increased traffic and increased recognition. If you didn’t know, traffic on BlogXilla.com is at an all time high, last month we broke a record for visitors, views and impressions and the globalgrind network is now larger than Media Takeout. I owe that to each one of you. I’ve been doing a lot of hard work, recently spent the last week flying around the country and I’m a bit tired and mentally drained.

I think it’s safe to say that Trey Songz is one of the only R&B singers with enough street credibility to drop a mixtape. I think after that DOA R.Kelly diss, Trey Songz got more respect from people. Not to mention the fact that he’s changed so much. It’s like he cut his braids, dressed better, got some confidence somewhere and became sexy as hell….

Musically, I’m currently in a creative space like no other. I feel as though whenever a mic is put in front of me, I can do no wrong. At a time in the music industry where album sales are low, fans are fickle, inconsistent, or more into the various songs than they are the particular artist, I feel that I must give u a reason to love me. Embed in you a desire to love me and an appreciation for the music. I must show you that not only do I LOVE what I do but I also do it well.

The creation of ANTICIPATION began after I presented READY to my label the first time. I just started recording on my days off and the music felt great and decided that I’d rather share the music than let it sit and be idle. This is music without politics, without creative boundaries.

So it was my sophomore (or junior) year in high school when the notice got out that an all boys private high school in Harlem was throwing a dance and they extended their invitation to our school.  Being in an all girl Catholic high school was a BITCH, so any type of testosterone involved I tried to be around it.  At the dance, which happened to be during the height of the Coogi phenomenon, I spotted this guy [Let's call him JEFF] who was checking me out.  We danced, exchanged  numbers and I left smiling on cloud nine.  It wasn’t long when he asked me on a date and introduced me to his funny friends.  We talked and hung out more, but my mom grew concerned at how much time I was hanging with this guy on my weekends.  Mom proposed that she speak with his mom just so she can figure out what type of person I’m hanging out with.  While I’m on AOL chatting in a chatroom and doing homework (by the way, AIM-ing casually & doing homework isn’t even possible to do), my Mom calls me in the kitchen while she’s wiping a tear from her eyes from all the laughter she experienced in her phone call. It was a bad move for Diddy to air that last season of MB4… made me look at all them dudes sideways.
