One night a group of my co-workers got together for the Negro past time, a night of drinks and spades. At the time I was sleeping with this light skinned girl, with a butt like Bria Myles who worked at my job. She was beautiful, but she has the brain of a 7th grader. [No offense to 7th graders] That night while playing spades, a hearts lead there was a duece, a nine, and six laying on the table we need one book to not to get shot, she throws out a 5 of hearts. Another suit plays and low and behold the ace of hearts comes flying out of her hand and we lose the game. That night, I banged her like I hated her.

I’ve always been a fan of words, but never much of a reader. Not that I didn’t like reading, its just that I am a magazine guy. It wasn’t until I picked up a copy of “The Source” and saw a review of “Dark” by Kenji Jasper that I really fell in love w/ the novel. Since then I realized that what you read says a lot about who you are in a relationship. So today I’m going to let you know what the books you read say about your personality.

It’s good to feel like Mary J Blige is happy. While I don’t know her personally to be sure from the outside looking in I believe she’s happy. I remember when I first saw her video come on BET back in 1992. My sister loved her song she ran to the tv turned it up and started dancing, and I just loved the way she put on a personal show for me in her white suit jacket, lingerie top and white fitted hat to the back. You couldn’t tell me that she wasn’t dancing just for me. She would help develop my love for hip hop w/ classic after classic and years later she would come clean with the details of her troubled life in the industry. 10 years after she debuted on the scene she sat down w/ 60 Minutes for an interview with the late Ed Bradley and told the world her story.

“It hurts a lot when you cannot really comprehend what a person is saying in a meeting or you don’t even understand what you’re reading in your contract,” says Blige, who left school in the 11th grade and reads at only an eighth-grade level. (more…)
