We all know that there is a void in the hip hop game for a prominent female emcee, and it is my belief that Remy Ma held down that role for a little while. She may not have had crazy mainstream success but the streets loved her back when they loved Fat Joe and his click… Terror Squad, I believe. Regardless since her incarceration it appears she’s been going crazy in that box of hers. After the jump you’ll find her letter she wrote with her callouses hands to the people.

I always find myself thinking about what I was doing a year ago, two years ago, five years ago today. I never remember exactly where till I find myself imagining where I would be today. I rarely listen to the radio because it’s sort of depressing. Not being able to record is stressful not because I’m a rapper but because that was my way of venting and expressing myself. So I write a lot! So much that now I have a callous on my finger from holding a pen. I guess I got used to texting my rhymes!

I get a lot of fan mail and everyone asks me how I’m doing? I say fine, the way I see it I never imagined making it this far with my sanity. Not being able to go somewhere when you want, see your family when you want (on many occasions when you need to), can’t use the phone, take a shower, wear clothes, or even eat when you want – super aggravating. Whenever, which is almost everyday I get visits, a lot of kids ask for autographs. It’s something that I used to do almost everyday but now it actually feels weird, I really feel like an inmate.
And as much as I hate to admit it, I really am an inmate. I mean, it kind of grows on you when certain people go out of there way to make you feel like that.

They have this program called YAP (Youth Assistance Program) they keep asking me to join. It’s a program that brings inner city kids to the prison to show them what it’s like to be incarcerated. I hear that every group asks about me but I’m a little hesitant to join. They think it will give the kids a reality check that this can happen to anyone. I however feel that it’ll be more of the kids wanting to see Remy Ma the rapper and because of that they won’t get that I’m actually in jail. So I’m still contemplating. If I figure out a way for them to actually get it, that this is really not a place you would ever want to be whether for 8 years, 8 months, or 8 minutes then I’ll do it.

Everyone in prison isn’t innocent but everyone in prison isn’t guilty. So whether you end up here on purpose or by accident, the pain you’re feeling is still the same. And I can quote a lot “gangsters” by saying that “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy…”

I was confronted with an opinion from a fellow blogger that Drake will disappear within a 2 year span and he wouldn’t be surprised at all. I had to respectfully disagree only because Drake is everything his hype presupposes. He lives up to all of it and then some… when you have a cosign from Kanye and Jay without even releasing an album you gotta be something special. When is the last time you saw an underground artist (or any hip hop artist in general besides Jay and Kanye) live up to the massive hype around them? Exactly. If Drake wasn’t getting all this attention people would stress how “underrated” he is. I’m tired of people bitchin about the man getting attention, he’s earned it.

If you watched this 1:02 video above you might be sitting there scratching your head, and you might also realize why out of Irv Gotti’s enitre sit down with MTV that  particular 1:02 was ripped and posted on Nahright. I have to 100% disagree with Irv Gotti. Maybe this is why Murder Inc failed… Ignorance !!! You like Nas better when he’s ignorant? Really? Do you HATE it when you see a kid reading a book too? Does it bother you that schools still exist?? It’s this very thinking that will keep people down and lead to hip hop not progressing. Nas is known to be one of the most lyrical rappers, his rhymes are soaked in substance in most cases, and those are his best raps in my opinion. I dont doubt he goes over people’s heads but Gotti says “When he’s on his arrogant sh*t, When Nas dumbs himself down he’s nicer to me ….When he’s on some n*gga sh*t he’s nicer” That’s a shame, I hope people don’t agree that Nas has to be ignorant to be great.

I wish I may I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight. Well that’s exactly what happened for 2 kids in the Make-A-Wish foundation named Emily and Jack. T-Boz & former Atl Brave Brian Jordan will be celebrity servers here in Atlanta serving Emily and Jack’s Ice Cream combinations.

The Creations were made using two of Cold Stone Creamery’s new ice cream flavors, Nutter Butter® and marshmallow. Emily combined Nutter Butter ice cream with yellow cake, Kit Kat® candy and white chocolate chips for her Creation. I didn’t cheat on her, instead I weighed my options and ended the relationship before I cheating w/ this fly dime from around the way. Now although nothing in this world is concrete except the sidewalks in the city. I would like to explore the why men cheat.

I tell ladies all the time that all men cheat for a reason. Likely a bad reason, but a reason nonetheless. Now, when I say this females never seem to understand my logic behind this theory, which is probably why some of them get cheated on. If someone is going to offer you 5,000 bucks are you going to take it, or say no? You see, men look at sex like money, and I know most people won’t turn down free money and it’s the same thing with p*ssy. Newsflash there are a gang load of sexually promiscuous females out there that don’t care that you are the new Donna Reed, Michelle Obama or Claire Huxtable of your household, they are hell bent on being the Unis Chantilly to your perfect relationship.

Another woman is probably the most common reason why men cheat, she pushed up, or he pushed up and she was willing to give it up, and there is no pussy like new pussy. I believe the key to solving this matter is communication.

Another reason men cheat is well… You. Ask yourself what are you bringing to the table other than pussy, another plate he has to pay for at Red Lobster, and extra therms on the gas bill? Now if you thought this question out and your bringing more to the table then just dead weight then it’s not you it’s him. He’s a dog and not worthy of experiencing the shimmering sparkle of your diamond’s beauty. Also ask yourself what do you have to do to satisfy your man’s hungry. It is a natural fact that the human race is infected w/ a disease call gluttony, a never ending hunger for more. Hell it’s probably why you fell in love w/ the dude to begin with b/c he never quits, yearns for the finer things in life, and strives to impress.

I wish I could write more but my time does not allow me to go on any further. All I’m saying is evaluate your relationship, you’re a smart person, ask yourself the proper questions if something doesn’t feel right. Walk a fine line b/c nagging itself is a valid reason to a man which will cause him to cheat. Well shit, to a man… or I should say most men, anything is a good reason to cheat… from waking up to sneezing. Tasha sneezes better so I’m going to holla at her… you heard the way she sneezes…. lol But be careful, Love is a wonderful thing and all too often it gets tainted w/ Hip Hop & R&B songs. Numerous Women are being denied relationships b/c he only wants a shawty, and numerous males are being pushed to the left to the left, b/c she feels like she’s irreplaceable. Listen to your heart not the music.
