B.o.B. is one of my favorite artist. Here is his new video No Man’s Land. It reminds me of my time on the Marta in Atlanta. The A is one of the best places in the world and my struggle from there to here has been an amazing one. The opposite of moderate indeed.

Terrance Howard has some advice for the men out there. I think it could be put to good use.

“Young men tend to come into relationships feeling very strong and powerful, and they make a lot of mistakes. But they soften when they have daughters. You see women through a whole different light because now you know that they were once someone’s little girl. My boy Jameel Saleem is back w/ a new episode of Exit Strategy. This has to be one of the funniest series on the net. If you haven’t been following the webisode. Jameel is stuck in the relationship from hell. He broke up w/ shorty, she came back and now he can’t get rid of her. This time he’s simply telling her the truth. Let’s see if this one works.

One of the greatest things about relationships is getting a dirty text message. It’ even better when the person sending the dirty text message is Aubrey O’day. The singer and Maxim girl let the cat out the bag about her sexting until she woke up w/ her dogs on her head. 

“dirty texting right now… its been awhile, forgot how fun this shit is.” A few hours later she sent her next tweet. “Just woke up w/my beautiful dogs sleeping on my head. They are perfection. Hope your day starts as beautiful as mine tweets! God bless!”

Paula Patton is the new Halle Berry, or she might just be the first Halle Berry. Last week while heading to my home girls birthday party, I bumped into a great writer named Smokey Fontaine. He’s the chief content officer over at Giant Mag. He just did a great piece w/ Paula Patton. While that interview is not online, it is in the latest issue of Giant Mag. Yet in my quest to learn more about the De Ja Vu & Precious star I stumbled across her talking about being in her bra and panties and well, I thought I should share it. 

Will any great art come out of these troubling times we’re in?

PP: It can. I think movies do it better than any other form. A movie is painting, it’s photography, it’s literature — because you have to have the screenplay — it’s music. Put a different soundtrack to a comedy and it’s a tragedy. A movie combines all those forms and forces you to pay attention for two hours with a group of people. And people aren’t as well-read anymore, so we share a common knowledge through movies. I’m rambling now. I’m not going to talk anymore.

But it’s an interview.

PP: This stuff will go really well with the bra-and-underwear photos.

Exactly!

No, I’m not doing bra and underwear.

Then what are you doing?

PP: Not bra and underwear. I have to draw the line.

You’ve done bra and underwear in movies.

PP: I have. But it’s a funny thing about nudity. I was watching this documentary, and Juliette Binoche, who has done a lot of nudity, said it feels totally natural at the time, but it’s the way it’s exploited afterward — put on a poster, or a scene put on the Internet. It gets disembodied from the story.

Then you wouldn’t want to know that someone is selling an eight-by-ten glossy of you in a bra and underwear on eBay?

PP: What was it, ninety-nine cents?

I think it was double digits.

PP: Well, you know what I say to that? Good problem to have. If you’re an actress and even one person knows your name, you’re lucky.

Rihanna’s 20/20 interview was arguably the most entertaining thing I’ve seen on television in 8 months. I think the world will agree w/ because as ABC took the ratings crown for the 10pm hour as an amazing 8.1 million people tuned in to watch Rihanna tell her side of the story.  I was mesmerized by her story as she said. “No. Did not hit him”.  Many opinions have been formed about the interview, but last night while looking at some hot pics of Mila Kunis I stumbled on to a Rihanna interview that many have forgotten about.

In an interview w/ Complex Rihanna reveals

Did you see 300?
Rihanna: [Deadly serious.] 300 is one of the best movies I have ever seen. The choreography, the fighting, the costumes, the production—phenomenal. I make everybody watch it.
So you didn’t think it was too violent.
Rihanna: Oh, not at all. That was the good part. I’m the oldest child with two brothers. We talk all the time now, but we used to fight—and when I say “fight,” I don’t mean arguments, I mean physically fight.
Who won?
Rihanna: I hit the older one in his face with a glass bottle.
Bokkle dem! Whoa. Remind me not to piss you off.
Rihanna: Yeah, my mom was pretty upset.

I’m just saying. I totally agree w/ Rihanna when she said nothing gives a man the right to hit a woman. Nothing in the world. I just hope both Chris and Rihanna can move on w’ their lives and be as successful as the Almighty will allow them to be.

The reviews are mixed from Rihanna’s interview. Personally I felt like she said things that would rip the heart out of a man in love, but my opinion isn’t important now. Mainstream America loved her interview. They felt as if it was a defining moment of power for women going through and who have been through abuse. I would agree. Yet I also agree w/ Urban America who feels like she might not have been telling the whole truth. EW reports.

Speaking to Diane Sawyer, Rihanna said of Brown’s remorse afterward, “He’d say, ‘You hate me, don’t you?’ and I would lie and say, ‘No.’”

That was a chilling moment, one among many. Sawyer showed Rihanna online videos of people — fans? — saying that she must have provoked Brown. Sawyer paraphrased their sentiments: “They say, ‘Did she bait him? Rile him?’” 

Rihanna said bluntly of such questions, “It’s ignorance.”

Demonstrating a maturity and thoughtfulness about her experience, Rihanna noted, “With fame comes a lot of things, and the most dangerous is freedom… no boundaries.”

At the same time, she said that when she’s shown the pictures of her battered face from that night, “I get very ashamed, angry… embarrassed… You start lying to yourself, blaming yourself… I didn’t want people looking at me. I felt really lonely.”

She claimed never to have heard the song Brown supposedly recorded for her called “Changed Man.” When Sawyer showed her the internet apology Brown issued and asked the singer’s reaction, Rihanna said simply, “It sounds like he might be reading off a teleprompter… I don’t know if he understood the extent of what he did.”

That line right there would destroy even a sane man. For a man to pour his heart out and the only thing that could be said is he might be reading… Ether. I know someone pulled a Joe Wilson and shouted “You Lie”

The beautiful ladies of Twerk Team are back and this time they are not dropping it like it’s hot. Instead the took the the mic booth to spit some ether at Ms. Karrine Steffans aka Super Head.
