Here’s a new artist from Brooklyn doing some sort of medley of southern rap songs. *blank stare*
Let me start by saying I hate “Swag Surfin”, I make a point to sit down in the club when the DJ plays it.
To hear yet another New York rapper rap over a southern song gets under my skin! Where is the originality?! Let the southern rappers do their southern rap, why not focus on putting New York (the birthplace of hip hop) back on the map!
And to hear the chorus be that terrible dragging out of words mixed with Souljah Boy’s terrible songs left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
*sigh*… maybe it’s just me.

    I dont think thats the kind of song you be "satirical" on a ,well known song that annoys the hell out of people will not prompt anyone to listen to the lyrics because what can you really get out of a song that's entitled "Swag Surfin"? He went about it the wrong way, and to send out a song like that without a title to suggest satire wont make people pay attention. You just don't get it do you?

    Yeah I pretty much agree with the first poster, this song is nothing like the original, believe it or not even though I hear what he's saying that it is a satire, it kinda has a serious tone to it, lol, go figure. Real dope though.

    Are you serious!! Did you even listen to the track ? Then you go and say "why not focus on putting New York back on the map!" Well because of people like you who always love to scream NEW YORK NEW YORK but when it's time to take your time and listen to a artist and support one, instead of you doing so you do your little blogs and talk shit about them and put their music down... Listen to the track and then make your comment. Also you need to do your research on poe picasso... spelled correctly pls and get your life together ! Stop shoutin NEW YORK and start supportin NEW YORK ! I usually dont do these blog tings... but your trying to put negative vibes around a growing talented gifted artist that the world needs to hear is mess up. If you can't say nothing nice about poe then don't say nothing at all ! Are just kill yourself ! I mean that. Thank You

    Wow ok, it didn't seem like she even listened to the song at all. Poe Picasso has been on the radar since I heard Exhibit A (his first mixtape) a few months ago and he totally flipped this song and it has absolutely nothing to do with the original.

    I check Blogxilla for the sex stuff (real talk, lol) not for the music posts but this one got my attention b/c I am familiar with Poe's music. Now I know why I don't check the music posts, must say 1am is out of her mind on this one.

  • I listened to the track, and I know Poe's Music. I will have to say that you have to listen to Poe's Exhibit A (look out for B) and look him up a little deeper than this track. Poe is a very clever MC.

    If you take the time to check him at a show, and/or pull up some of his archives...(check www.treazyradioshow.com) Im sure there is an archive of a Classic seesion at that radioshow. Poe is dope, don't sleep sis.
