Drake Too Big For Young Money

There comes a time in a man’s life when you have to separate yourself from your friends and do you. Personally I never been a sidekick type of dude, so I stepped out and moved to Atlanta and craved my own way. It’s not like I don’t have love for my for my dudes, I just had to step out and do me. So now that Drake is larger than life, its no wonder he’s laying the ground work to step out of the shadow of Lil Wayne and his Young Money brand.

“I been doing this since I was about 13. Degrassi is bigger than what I’m doing right now, it really is. It’s bigger than any DrakeCudiWale, you know, up-and-coming rap sh*t. Like I was doing mall tours with 15,000 people, I was signing autographs for three, four hours. I’m not signed to Young Money but definitely Young Money is a family to me. I’m definitely YM affiliated, you know? I have the utmost love for everybody over there, the utmost respect. Mack Maine andJae Millz, those are like brothers to me, you know? Nicki Minaj and now that I’m in this position I’m just trying to get everything all the way straight.” ~ Drake

  • Brotha man better come correct on the official album, otherwise, its a fail, IMO. He's got some pretty nice stuff in general on his mixtapes, and hopefully, not being directly signed on with Young Money will mean less "Weezy-isms". More Drake, less "Drizzy", please.
  • Yeah, he's always spoke out on not being on their label when asked. I think it's smart not to be due to the history of the company. I wish him the best in whatever venue he decides to choose.

there is nothing bigger then lil wayne and drake will realize he is gunna crash without him.
him saying that made me just go from loving him to hating him.
he acts like he is too good now. and he would never be big without lil wayne.
