When I asked yall who yall thought was really holding their own, I would hope Melanie Fiona’s name would come to mind. Her music is great! Her vocal talent surpasses so many ladies out there and I hope that she gets the shine she deserves soon. “Sad Song” is a one of those songs I liked the moment it came on (and that doesn’t happen too often) I can’t wait to see the places Melanie Fiona goes in the near future.

    Yea, she has a veeeery powerful voice. The scene is missing ladies like this.

    I agree! Although there are plenty of chicks with power house voices, they don't get the shine of generic voices like Rihanna's and Ciara.
    Jennifer Hudson and Jazmine Sullivan are prime examples.

    You know, I can rock w/Rihanna! We can have one Black artist whose career is driven by image, especially an image as meticulously crafted as hers. Her vocals leave much to be desired, but at least she (her label) knows a hit song when she hears one. lol
