You Could Have Told Me We Were Going Dutch

The Excuses:
- “I thought we were just getting to know each other. I wouldn’t have taken you there on a first date.” Okay, well you should have let that be known from the jump. You have poor communication skills. All of this, including going Dutch should have been discussed prior to anyone leaving the house.
- “My wallet was stolen” All that means is that you are not in the position to take anyone out on a date. Why try to force it because you came out looking like a cheapskate. And you sure had enough money for all those beers you drank.
- “I’m not a cheapskate. Please let me make it up to you.” Naw, I’m cool. First impressions are everything and you let me know a lot about yourself tonight. And this is not the type of relationship I’m interesting in forming, friendship or otherwise.
So of course he called me throughout the weekend to try to rectify the situation and my friends told me to go out with him again just to make him spend his money but I was over it as soon as the bartender swiped my Visa. And I also took into account the other minor details that I discovered during the date that I was initially going to look over, though they did raise red flags.
