This photo was sold to the highest bidder (apparently TMZ) I bet by some snitch in the Police Dept. This should never have been purchased just for dibs of “I got the exclusive and first photo rights”.

  5. BlogXilla says:

probably was, I think it's messed up and never should have been release heads should and will roll for this one.

  8. iolastar says:

I'm shocked too. There were too many stories, but pictures are so telling. How the heck did CB snap like that? What made him snap like that?

  9. sharde says:

    Lord be with her

  10. i still want to hear the story from their mouths and not what the media is saying… i trust no hearsay… or pictures, photoshop is a mutha…

  11. DomiX says:

I don't know, that pic is pretty legit.

But, Chris Brown is fucked. No matter why they started arguing, he hit a woman, and that's all that's going to matter.

  12. jO says:

    This looks horrible!
    She couldn't get away?????
I mean it looks like someone punched her all in the forehead!
DAMN!…. this should have never been released.
I hope this all gets worked out.

  13. NaNa says:

lol… i can't do nothing but laugh ight now… o fuck! she got what she deserved…

  14. NATIVE says:

not sure if @nana was serious. i hope not
    @domix i feel you, i really do.
what's been lost here and this is real talk on the part of the media but don't you ever start to wonder who the media really is anymore. Bloggers, we have become a part of information passers if you will and I think we have failed at changing the pace of this discussion.
What happened to rihanna is fucked up but it happens every day. which does not make it any better but what it does tell me is that something has to be done. voices need to be heard instead of silenced. That's how jena 6 got so big, jena 6 is someone's reality everyday. Just like a woman getting her ass beat is someone's reality everyday. But if we use our voices against it I think we can help change the public perception of it all. Right now this is sensationalized bullshit, instead of a serious convo about domestic abuse.

I totally feel you on this. Nothing will change until we address the real problem within, not only our own people, but others as well because this is a problem that crosses all lines of race and sex.

I pray for both parties involved in this matter because this is a one sided situation for the moment. All that was done in the dark will come to light.

  16. ODARA says:

Yikes!!! I'm still kinda on the fence when it comes to taking sides. I still say they're both young & are equally entitled to mistakes…but as far as the pic goes they are DEAD wrong for releasing this & if somebody loses their job because of it then they deserve it…smh….

  17. Dizz says:

What does being young have to do with beating a female, and doing something you know is wrong especially if you grew up seeing your own mother abused?? Even children know not to hit girls…are you serious, look at her face!

  18. Dizz says:

'Equally entitled to make mistakes'…so because he's young he's entitled to beat her ass??

  19. DC_REALEST says:

yeah the pic is horrible. but it is what it is…at some point you have to move on. today is her 21st Bday…i hope she is able to find some joy and enjoy herself today and celebrate her day.

  20. Buzzy says:

I wonder why we treat domestic abuse as an afterthought…….as if it doesn't matter? Every 9 seconds a woman is battered in the US alone. Can you imagine what that number is worldwide? And this doesn't just affect the black community like someone else said, this affects the worlds population. Women and children have always been the target for overly aggressive, angry, deranged, bitter, violent men…..but in some way we are so absent that we always blame the victim. But in the AA community it's as if men are justified in beating on their women. I'm not sure if we've become so brainwashed into believing that we deserve it because we are outspoken, or some other reason, but let's be clear…..NO woman deserves to be beaten. Yes women are angry as well…..we lash out, and hit, but when did we get to a point where we are now teaching young men, that if a woman hits you, you have a right to hit her back? Where did that come from……what happened to telling young boys that if a woman hits you….walk away, and decide if you should leave the relationship.

Remember when men would call other men out on their bad behavior? What happened to those men? I remember my dad whooping his brother's butt for hitting on his wife. Where are those men?

I have so much more to say, but……..

  21. Jill says:

what? so you're saying that men should just suppress all their anger, but when a woman gets mad she gets to beat the mess out of her man? my thoughts are that no one should be putting their hands on another person. if the man hits his woman, he should go to jail. if a woman hits her man, she should go to jail. there are plenty of men out there that are abused everyday, but society doesn't really seem to take it seriously. basically, i'm tired of biased comments like this. if a woman gets mad and gets all buck and decides to go to town on her man, why isn't that wrong?

  22. Dizz says:

I don't think thats what Buzzy was saying, I think it was more a statement of it being acceptable for men to hit women in the AA community. I agee with the fact that in the AA community it seems violence against women is acceptable. Reading alot of comments on different “urban” sites alot of comments were, 'she must have provoked him' or 'she hit him first'. Now don't get me wrong a woman doesn't have the right to put her hands on a man, but he is the stronger of the two, so he could do more damage with one punch than the woman can, and I believe if the woman threw the first punch then yes she should be charged as well. Unfortunatley, AA women have been reduce to a bitch, a ho, a jump off, a big butt and a smile etc, we no longer have AA men to protect us, you can see through the media, videos etc how we are looked upon. It's a shame a quite scary that we no longer have Men that call out other Men's bad behavior. Now we have young people almost defending this type of behavior as acceptable, and it's not regardless of who threw the first punch.

  23. DaRuler says:

i waiting to hear the whole story. right now we just hearing it from the media's p.o.v. i wanna hear what rihanna/chris gotta say.

  24. Buzzy says:

Exactly Dizz, I don't condone ANY kind of violence, but being realistic I know that men have a greater advantage. I think we all need a reality check on violence, but we also need more men that are raised to be chilvalrous. My dad never hit my mom….NEVER! And on a couple of occasions she clocked him….so, he'd grab her hands and hold her until she calmed down, but NEVER did he raise a hand to her. He was raised with respect, and he knew that he could seriously hurt her….what GOOD man wants to knowingly hurt the woman he's with? Makes no sense to me. Walk away, and if it continues to happen, maybe it's time to leave.

  25. Noodle says:

I think Chris already said it…damn.

Not going in to the whole (ridiculous) debate on what have caused this. He smacked his girl up.
End of story to me. Ain't no excuses.

People who say she provoked this, are equally ignorant to me. Real man don't hit woman. Ever.

  26. MiMi says:

Her injuries were not as bad as I was expecting.

It troubles me that people act as if a woman can do ANY and EVERYTHING she wants to physically harm a man and she should remain unscathed. I'm sorry, but in a heated argument there is only so far you can go before pushing people to lose their temper, and that goes for men and women alike. I don't get why a man is always expected to maintain his temper and a woman can explode as she pleases. Thats not ok. My father always told me if I slap a man and he beats up on me then he will bust a cap in dude's ass. However, he also told me that if I try to fight a man as if I am a man, then shame on me.
No one knows what really happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna except Chris Brown and Rihanna.

  27. ODARA says:

@Dizz…I never said what he did was JUSTIFIABLE! yeah he was dead WRONG…but should he be crucified & lose his career over it??? NOPE!!!

and Domestic Abuse isn't something that just happens over night…there are ALWAYS signs…it's up to us whether or not we choose to READ into those signs…I say they both should take a break & seek counseling…

  28. ODARA says:

I agree! BOTH parties should keep their hands to themselves.

  29. Dizz says:

He definitly needs to go to jail, like anyother person would have to in the same situation.

  30. toronto says:

a real man walks away or even restrains a woman that is getting physical with him. he should never retaliate with violence because no man ever has to prove his physical superiority to any female. its a biological fact that men are, in part, built as machines of strength. if, as a man, you come across a women that doesn't respect that strength, leave her alone. she could never do as much physical damage to you as you could to her. she's an immature child and should be treated as such.

  32. nynikki says:

Thank you. A real man will walk away and use the time to evaluate if he wants to be with a woman who hits him. My brother and I were taught to keep our hands to ourselves. My mom said when a man abruptly walks a way during an argument I must let him go to cool off; he's trying to keep from hurting me. And if the situation got too thick to put a pot on to boil. If he was raised right, he will know I'd had enough and it's time for him to bounce. My bro got his version of this: walk away rather than hit and get the fuck outta dodge if chick puts a pot on-you might get a face full of grits.

The picture was bought and sold because we as a society are thirsty for this kind of stuff…we thrive on negativity…

They could both come out and tell their side of the story, we still wouldn't be satisfied, we would accuse one or both of lying and/or hiding details and the media would search for even more “exclusive interviews” with “close friends and fam” to get to the “real truth” and we would buy the magazines and visit the TMZ's and MTO's of the world just the same…

WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM.

They are entertainers, their job is to entertain us with song and dance NOT details of their private life, the only people they should be discussing their problems with are the people who are willing and able to help them with no ulterior motives…

As far as domestic violence goes, NO ONE male or female has the right to put their hands on another person…and if you do your ass should go to jail

I think if a woman is hitting a man and he can restrain her without hitting her or harming her then he should do everything in his power to go that route HOWEVER there are some chicks out there who are just wild and ruthless and can get really out of control and I strongly believe in everyone's right to defend themselves against harm. I believe “If You Bad Enough To HIt, You Bad Enough To Get Hit Back!”
