Barack Obama In NYC
Posted in Obama Time, Politics on 16. Jan, 2009
When Obama’s journey to the presidency first began, you couldn’t tell Black people anything. All I heard was he isn’t Black enough, or America isn’t ready for a Black president. Yet, after a long and hard fought battle we are only a short time away from watching the nation swear in it’s first African-American president. It’s a beautiful thing, it truly is. Not everyone can’t make it to DC to be there for the inauguration, but if you’re in the NY area you can still be apart of history on Jan 20th and have your picture taken with the President. Well sort of according to Madame Tussauds website:
Stand face-to-face and have your historical photo taken with President Barack Obama. A former United States Senator from Illinois and civil rights attorney; January 20, 2009 he will become the nation’s first African American to be a elected President of the United States. Join us as we celebrate history in the making and launch a historical president set in a replica of the Oval Office!
I think I might have to hit this up on Monday.

Is that the replica there? That seems like a neat idea.
Ok, pardon my question because I now see “wax” in your tag. I wish I was there to add to the collection of Barack Obama “things” I am saving for my future children.
If you could retreive one of your old blogs- you can find where I said he's not going win.
I was wrong. I always said whoever I vote for would say they will stop the war. Anyway from that point on I must admit you did raise my level of awareness. I quess men just recognize and see things long before women do. You are ahead of your time. I said it must be something to this Barack guy cause he got Xilla's attention.
