They Should’ve Been In The Booth Together

Biggie’s son CJ, hopped on his father’s track and to me it’s sad, because they should have been in the booth together. I’m sure you’ll be seeing this song on all the other blogs, but I don’t know what to say. I live hip hop, and growing up without a father in my life, Biggie’s music taught me a lot about being a man, getting women and how to survive. His music was a crutch for my life growing up in the hood. When things were hard I put on Ready To Die, and let it take me away. So when a problem arised I got money or I got a girl. lol
I found myself following Biggie’s life in music and in each monthly Source and Vibe magazines. I had cooking class with a bunch of hip hop heads, the biggest, most popular kids from each respective ethnic group. There was the Black kid, who was the star linebacker in the state, The coolest Hatian, The kid who dressed better than everybody, and a teenager they called 40 Grand. Every day as we baked, fried, and cooked we had heated debates over whose the best Emcee Biggie, Jay-Z or Nas.
We talked beef, who Biggie was sleeping with, Charlie Baltimore, Lil Kim or Faith whether Big killed Pac, etc. All this while wearing red aprons. So to hear this record it’s disturbing and heartbreaking to me, because CJ and his father should have been in the booth together.
“If Faith have twins she’d probably have to pacs, get it 2-PAC”
