an ex knocked me up on purpose and i went to the chop shop. so what?!? i was on the patch and it didn't work. he poked a whole in the condom and there you have it. i wrastled for hours with the notion of should i keep it and become an nflers babymama or should i give up and jut suck it out like that nut before this mess happened. i don't regret my decision at all. he's a whore and has two kids coming. my baby would habeen the general of the bastard army. i know that my child deserves more than that. more than a mamma and a pops in two different states fighting over bs. i'm evil so i wold have most likely just not answered the phone and pretended like the stork dropped shorty off. …. the babymama game/role is not one that i'm willing to play. i'm too fly fa dat. WORDUP!

I'm pro-choice, but I think something needs to be done about ppl abusing it. It's not safe for them. I can understand if you get raped or giving birth may kill you, but it isn't birth control. I also think parents need to be notified about their daughters having this procedure done as well. That is a major problem to me that they can allow these abortions to be swept under the rug. I'm not a parent, but I would hope that my daughter would be able to talk to me about something like that.

As far as teenagers go, I believe it all starts with the parents and them communicating with their children and having respect for each other. A lot of kids these days do whatever they want because they don't respect anyone much less themselves. They don't have repercussions for their actions. When I was in school there were bad kids who acted out, but there may have been one teacher whom they respected and they wouldn't act a fool in their class.

Alveda King sounded real stupid in that article talkin about free sex ed., condoms and birth control is like giving permission to have sex. There's only so much control you have over other people's decisions, but the least that you can do is inform them of their options and teach them how to be safe. I'm no expert, but I would think if someone has been educated then they would be more likely to practice safe sex, therefore not ending up pregnant.

God is bigger then all of us. He sees EVERYTHING WE DO. Including aborting LIFE. Do what ever you want, and make whatever excuses that allow you to sleep but God saw us, at the very moment of being conceived. Ps. 139:13-16. Controled actions doesnt lead to desperate decisions.

Wow! Well, I am 25 and have never been pregnant (birth control), so I have never had to make this difficult choice. Though i feel ready (on the maturity level) to have a child, I am not at a place in life where i feel comfortable having a child yet. Coming from a neighborhood where a statistician would have a field day on subjects such as std's, abortions, teen pregnancy, drug use, i vowed to do my best to not become one. I really want to be the cycle breaker in my generation. So i plan on staying on bc until i get married.
I have personally spent 3 Saturday mornings at an abortion clinic with a former friend. Like someone above said… I can see the 1st, even the second time, but 3+??? That’s just you being irresponsible. SMH
I am pro-choice, but I am not pro-ignorance. And that’s all I got to say about that.

It's defiantely a hard thing to go through. i expereienced the same thing your friend did about feeling that regret. On what would have been my due date, I was in church with my mother and it just so happend that it was Mother's Day. My mom knew thati wanted to keep the baby and the emotional pain i went thru. and in the middle of church, i broke down and cried. I knew that day, that if I ever became pregnant again, I would keep the baby.

for ME, getting an abortion was a traumatic experience, i forgive myself, but i will never forget; i cant I have VMMVII tatted on my inner wrist which is the month and year the baby would have been born had it been full term.

im choice, a woman should the right to do decide whatever it is she wants to do with her body. I always told myself that if i was to get pregnant, i could never get an abortion. Then when I was 18 i got pregnant, and was in denial for 2 months until i finally got a pregnancy test. 2nd year in college, strict parents, my mother had me when she was 17, i didnt want to repeat the cycle especially because of the fact that my mother is still struggling to this day. I ended up getting an abortion my 9th wk. dude said “he wasnt ready to be a father”.
its sad that abortions are becoming a form of birth control. ive been celibate ever since and its been 2 years, & i refuse to have sex with another dude unless he's someone i love & can honestly trust will be there for me.

I read the article and I would like to know what percentage of women under 25 are pregnant and choosing to move along with these unplanned pregnancies and how its affects them.

I can't see how someone can try to dissuade a woman who has one or two children and is barely making ends meet from having an abortion. No the fetus did not ask to be conceived but think about the quality of life that child will have once it is born into an impoverished state.

I don't think women ought to use abortion as a birthcontrol but I don't think anyone has the right to tell women they ought to just deal wth the consequences becuase this proves to be more dertrimental for the child once he/she is born.

There needs to be comprehensive sex education and more outreach to at risk women.

Xilla, i'm dissapointed with your spin on this article. I don't think women over 25 are just succumbing to lust and going to plan c. There are other factors at play here and it seems like you trivialized a very serious aspect of some women's lives.

Yes you can always get a condom, and yes it "happens" the first time, but not the second, third, fourth, or fifth, that's called being irresponsible. And I don't believe ALL of those abortions had no effect on you emotionally, I don't believe that at all whether you want to admit it or not.

What about STD's? AIDS??

Do you believe abortion is to be used as birth control like the pill??
