my man purposely pissed me off. i mean pissed off to the point i was blasting eminem' s "kim" on the ride home. we got home, ate dinner. i was still pissed, so i went to bed and left him by himself. he comes and wakes me up 5 minutes to midnight, telling me he baked me a cheesecake and would i please come share a slice with him? so i go in the living room, and there are candles everywhere. he's got sade playing in the background. so he apologizes, and i'm thinking the atomosphere was just for the apology. so i put my fork in the whipped cream, and hit something hard. i pull it out, and im like wtf? he says let me get that, sucks the cream off, and gets down on one knee. i was so suprised i couldnt stop giggling. he tells me how much he loves me and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. he set me up, pissed me off on purpose so i could have the ultimate suprise in the end. then we went and sipped wine under the stars.

Yea ummm...really can't top that, LOL!!! Congrats girl!!! Anyways yea, i would like something unsuspecting and simple...not a huge production...that was so thought out and sweet, ur a lucky woman

My husband pop the question in a strange but cute way. We had just come home from dinner and movie and preparing for bed and everynight before we go to bed we always talk about our day etc... So as we ending our convo getting ready to call it a night, he went back into the kitchen and I went ahead and said my prayers and hop in the bed. When he came back in I said to him don't forget to say your prayers before you come to bed, he said to me Okay and proceed to gown on his knees to pray. So after about a couple of mins I notice he had not climb into bed yet (cause it doesn't take him long to pray..lol, as a matter of fact- I always fuss at him for getting up so quickly..lol) I turned over to look for him and there he was still on his knees looking at me and said: Will u marry me???? It was the cutest thing ever!

Awwe I love reading these kind of stories. I'm not engaged yet, but when my old man does pop the question I would like for my family to be present. I know I will be crying uncontrollably.

i think as long as a man is proposing, i don't believe there is a such thing as a bad proposal. most women are just happy with the fact that the fool is doing it in the first place.

Everytime I was proposed to I was so disgusted, not the fact of how I was proposed but by the fact I never got into a relationship with anyone of these people. No Sex nothing. So needless to say the shit didnt feel right. I don't think I would want something outrageous when the right man proposes. Just want something a little memorable and I want him to really express his feelings. NOt just say " hey let's just get married and call it a wrap". I would knock his black ass out!!!!

no "we aint gettin no younger, we might as well do this" proposals for you? lol
