Janelle Monae Speaks on Barack Obama

Yesterday I got the opportunity to check out Janelle Monae’s album Metropolis. [Click Here To Buy] I must say the album is an experience. I found myself dancing in my chair, bopping my head and tapping my foot to the futuristic sounds of a different type of hip hop. On a track titled Mr. President she speaks of a world in need, advising the president of the things we need done. So I asked her about her opinion of Mr. Obama and her is what she had to say.
I think he’s doing a fantastic job right now. He’s been a real huge inspiration for me as an artist as well as my company. I think that he, like myself… I have core values that have kept me grounded that I can always look back on when I have tough choices to make. I look back on the things that matter most to me like my integrity and my morals, knowing that I have a responsibility to my community and I see that in Mr. Obama. I think that he does have core values that he strongly stays committed to and he won’t compromise them just to become president that says a lot about his character and I have a lot of admiration and respect for someone who is fearless. I think he is very fearless in the times that we are living in to just go up against the world it seems and to really understand what his purpose is and to not let anything get in the way of that and do it with class and that says a lot about him. so I have a lot of respect and admiration for Mr. Obama
