The Care Free Curl is Back

They say that fashion and style just keeps repeating itself, well they couldn’t be more right. From this years BET Awards and the premiere of Hancock it looks like the Jheri curl is back. How does one go from nappy boy locks to the glistening curl? I’m not sure, but if you ever see AJ formerly of 106th and Park ask him. He was recently seen rocking the curl with the messed up edges at the Negro awards.

Celebs have gone back to the Jackson 5 look resurrecting the juicy hair do, and from the looks of it this time around thugs can wear curls too. Example 50 Cent has sat down in the stylist chair and got the duke. I’m not going to lie, I too used to sport the “dry curl” back in high school. I was pretty boy’d out, my shiny curls colored a strawberry blonde. I didn’t get it done at a salon though I had one of those kitchen counter curls. I just hope with technology that these new age care free curls don’t drip like the curls of old. Until next time keep following the drip.
