Double Dating, Double Trouble

You’re on a double date and the person on the other side is getting all the attention reminding you why you don’t double date. But your best friend begged you to come along because their boo had their friend with them. You figured a night out and a few drinks couldn’t hurt so you tag alone, now you’re regretting your decision.  Well here are some tips to help you shine.

Think about all the double dates you’ve ever been on, there was the one who looked good, but couldn’t keep their eyes off your friend, the one who could only talk about sex, and the one was so loud and classless that Lil Jon & Khia would be embarrassed to be next to them. If any of those people are you, you have a problem. If you dated any of those people then you need to be on the look out for the following.

Eye Contact – Looking someone in the eyes is very important you have to know when you give and when to take it. You don’t want to be the person staring at her breast or his arms the whole night. It’s just rude. Also you don’t want to give a long strong intimidating gaze into your date’s eyes, they may think you’re a crazy boxer with a tattoo on your face who wants to bite their ear off.

Bring the Bum – Another way to ensure that you’ll stand out is to bring your ugliest, worst behave friend along with you. It will make you look that much better. If your friend looks a little like you that even better. I read a book called Predictably Irrational which stated we choose based of what is similar, rather than what is best. So even if a super model is around if the person you’re with looks like you, and you look better than them… you’ll stand out more than the super model.

The Walmart of Conversation – Think about the genius of walmart, you can get groceries, books, clothes, electronics, and that thingamagiggy you needed to fix your car. Walmart has everything, just like your conversation should. If you can talk about, life, sports, soaps, and politics chances are your date will fall in love with just talking to you.
