Don’t Fall In Love, Cheat Instead

Ne-Yo’s new song advises a woman not to fall in love with him because he’s going to cheat. Well that’s not the case with all men, but I’m wondering if it should be. I recently had to deal with heartbreak. A girl came and captured my heart. She was my everything when I needed her most. But then things changed, maybe she couldn’t be what I wanted her to be, or maybe I just demanded too much of her but things ended. My heart felt like it exploded. I thought about the man I used to be, how I cheated on 90% of my girlfriends, how I haven’t been in a REAL relationship in almost 6 years. I thought to myself that the next girlfriend I get I’m going to drag her like Eric did Halle.
Then I thought about why I stopped cheating.
Perfection
- I am a firm believer that regardless how attractive a person is that there is someone out there who can’t stand them. I know this from experience, I’ve never met a girl who was absolutely perfect. No one’s perfect so I began looking for the one who’s most compatible.
Tears of a Clown
- I’ve cheated before, and I’ve seen the after effects of cheating first hand. Cheating is like the scar under my left eye, sure it healed but you never forget it, ever time you look at yourself your reminded of the pain that was once caused by that incident. Sure you mend a broken relationship but it’s scarred forever.
I’m Also A Client
- I too know what it’s like to be heartbroken. So I know that cheating only leads to someone feeling an unbearable pain.
My friend once said we cheat because we don’t have the right bitch on our team. That may be right, but also often it’s a problem with the coaching of the team. If we each look at ourself and think before we act cheating can be avoided. Maybe I won’t give up on love just yet.
