Why do women put up with this? I’m going to get a bit personal here. When I first moved to Charlotte, which I’m leaving today, I saw this fly light skinned girl standing outside walking her dog. I inquired about her from a friend and she told me that the girl gets her ass beat by her drunk older boyfriend. I saw her a few times after that, until a few days ago. I was picking my daughter up from school and I saw this fly girl looking back in fear. She looked like one of those white women in scary movies except she wasn’t falling to the ground.

So I asked her if she was alright, inquired a little more to find out that this was the girl I had seen when I first moved in. Still fly but she looked a bit lost. She told me she was trapped and decided to go out and find some friends since her dude had the baby. I told her she was too good to allow a dude to keep her prisoner and she basically ran away.

My mother was a victim of domestic violence, when I was born my dad, threw me on the couch and put a gun to my mother’s head b/c I came out light skinned and he was dark. I saw my dad beat up his girlfriend one night while I stayed over his house. It has always sickened me to see a man hit a female.

But yet the ladies stay, they don’t leave, maybe out of fear or they don’t want to start over but I need for you women to love yourself and realize that it’s a lot of guys out there who will love you like the queen you’re suppose to be.
