According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Brooklyn rapper (born Jamal Barrow), who has been incarcerated since 2001, will exit the jail confines a year earlier than his expected 2009 release date. He is currently serving a 10-year jail sentence at Woodbourne Correctional Facility stemming from a 1999 New York club shooting. [sohh]
Note to Diddy, 50, and the whole game pull up old tapes of Rap City and try to remember what happen when Pac got out of jail. This is going to provide for a lot of interesting blogs. Because there is something about jail that does something to the minds of rappers who have spent a significant amount of time behind bars.
I’ve read of a few of his interviews and he is on some other s#!t. not like a knuckle head either, like when they put him in the hole for his media blitz in 04 he said:

I got locked up like a couple days after that—in the hole. Six months. You locked down for 23 hours a day. No commissary, no nothin’. All you get is a few showers a week. When you go in a cage, you got nothin’ but mail, and if you lucky enough to get some reading materials.
That must have been crazy to go from the highs of getting ready to release such a highly anticipated album, and then suddenly everything is put to a halt.
You gotta pay the price, and that’s life, you dig? I never seen nobody on this earth that don’t go through it. Bill Gates is gettin’ washed up by Apple and Google and all those dudes right now, and he’s doin’ nothing. Gotta go through it, you understand what I’m talkin’ about.
