Negro Diseases

.
This is a blog I wrote over a year ago. I thought I would share it.
Let’s face it life has been pretty rough on blacks, we are stolen from our home land, loaded on to a boat, shipped to another country, forced into slavery, freed only to be hosed and beat.
And let’s not forget our brothers and sisters back in the homeland who were robbed of their natural resources, forced to work in diamond mines, well you get the picture.
But nothing has been worst then the strange diseases only black people seem to contract. I grew up in fear that I would one day catch on of these strange illnesses that has infected my family for years, My uncle died of Pressure, my cousin suffered from a hole in her heart, my grandmother and uncles had Sugar.
I grew up in constant fear of eating too much candy and being denied of my beloved Green Apple Nahenlahter for the rest of my life.
Most of you may have heard of some of these, but a few of my pigment denied reader might not know. So please allow me to break this down for you all.
Pressure – Your eyes get read, and you are forced to eat food w/ no salt or no flavor, so while the rest of the family eats Mama’s baked mac and cheese, Bar B Que Chicken, and those collards w/ the smoke neckbone in them that your drown in Franks Red Hot Sauce!
Hole in The Heart - This Disease causes you not to be able to run that means no playing hide and seek, Stolen bases, Football, basketball, or the legendary catch a girl get a girl.
Gout - I’m not sure what this actually is, but I had a few family members who had this, and I stay the hell away from them. I remember numerous Christmas morning when I would clutch my mothers thighs to steer away from having to give my uncle hugs and kisses he had the gout and I didn’t want it.
Sugar - When you get sugar your legs hurts, your head hurts and you can’t eat any of that good Food Big Mama makes, well Big Mama ain’t pose to eat it but she does anyway and all I know someone get curse
the hell out at the end of the day for trying to tell Big Mama that she can’t have that piece sweet potato pie, Mac and Cheese, or her Bottle of Seagram’s GIN! Smch
Revidalago – This is when your aunt, grand dad, or any other old person who used to be either brown skinned or light skinned and now they look like Wesley Snipes with a sun tan. Their finger nails get all yellow and long, and nose hair start to protrude out of their noses.
