The major problem men and women have with each other is communication. I hear females tell me all the time that men don’t listen, we hear what we want to hear. Which is true, but it’s b/c we think, talk and hear differently. So I’ve put together a guide on how to talk to a dude.
Get To The Point
We don’t need to know every single detail of what went on. Time is money, so If you got into an argument with office tramp, I don’t need to know what she had on, where she sits, what sort of car she drives or the food group of the piece of food that was stuck in her teeth, for you to tell me that you THINK she’s talking about you behind your back. Start w/ the conclusion and then I’ll be more likely to want to listen to the other details.

Keep It Simple Sexy, Again y’all think too much you might think telling us about your day means every single detail but we don’t need to know the stuff you do daily… “I woke up got dressed….” see you lost me already, you went from being nekkid to wearing clothes. You can’t put the vision of you naked in my head and then snatch it away. Only provide the interesting parts. So if you think your day was a trilogy it probably was just a half hour sitcom or maybe an hour long drama.
He Said, Then She Said
I don’t need to know everything that was said… All too often I got to get a whole transcript of what went down, Julie said… then I said, then this guy walked by and was like… Save that mess for your job as that little lady who sits in court and types down everything that is said. GET TO THE POINT
Remember Remember…
If you want us to remember something… You might have to remind us, or get us to repeat it back to you or something. Many times you ladies think we weren’t listening but we can repeat everything you said, well that a good way of getting us to remember it. lol If you want us to remember it let us know before you say it… Xilla this is the important part, as soon as you do that my mind recorder presses play.
For The Fellas
Ladies don’t want you to solve their problems. Just listen to them, you’ll be surprised on how good she’ll think you’re listening to her if you just acknowledge what she’s saying and not try to be her superman. She can figure her own life out, you’re not her daddy so don’t try to be. Simply listen, and don’t get her a solution and she’ll love you for it. I know it’s hard we have to listen to a whole Harry Potter novel of what’s shes done and then you’re expected not to have a conclusion but it’s how she works. So unless she ask you for a solution… DONT GIVE ONE.
